Welcome to Index Nutrition! I’m Ch. Aziz, and I’m excited to share my journey and passion for nutrition with you. Though my academic background is in chemistry, life had a different path in store for me. Over 25 years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, which marked the beginning of a long and often challenging journey of managing my health.
Living with this condition has been tough, but it’s also been an incredible learning experience. My diagnosis ignited a deep desire to understand the root causes of my health challenges, and I quickly turned to research. A pivotal moment came when I discovered a book that would change my perspective on health forever: “L’alimentation ou la troisième médecine” (Nutrition or the Third Medicine) by Dr. Jean Seignalet. This book opened my eyes to the remarkable connection between food and health, particularly for those of us dealing with immune disorders.
Inspired by Seignalet’s approach, I embraced a complete overhaul of my diet and lifestyle. The changes I made weren’t just about what I ate—they were about understanding the intricate role of nutrition in optimizing body function and overall well-being. As I began to experience improvements in my own health, my curiosity about the science of nutrition only grew deeper.
In time, this interest evolved into a passion for micronutrition—a specialized field that focuses on the vital role of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients in our bodies. With the knowledge I gained through additional certifications and years of personal experience, I felt driven to help others discover how making informed dietary choices can transform their health.
This blog is my way of sharing what I’ve learned over the years.
